Jokes ;)

Oh, OK.  Now that you put it in the proper context, I get it.  Yes, there
have been many jokes about medication.  But no one mentioned a specific
medication... That threw me off... ;)

The way I see it, there are three kinds of jokes:  1) Jokes that are so
clear that don't need smileys, 2) jokes that need smileys or they might
be interpreted as insults and 3) jokes that no matter how many smileys
they carry, they will be interpreted as insults. 

When I first subscribed to the list and John B kept putting those 8-)
I asked him what was wrong with his system and why did it kept sending
me those ASCII characters.  Now I am so used to them that I feel like
putting them next to hand written comments in postal slide folio entries 
and general correspondence.  -- George
