George, quoting your words:

Dr.T: First of all, you are certainly not unknown to the world of 3D. I
am amazed at how many people describe their equipment as being
"Themelized," and how quickly people jumped in and recommended you when I
first came to this forum with my viewer problem!
We have a group of people here who are interested in 3D and computers,
sharing our knowledge. You are probably correct in guessing that our
average age is younger than the average age of 3D photographers not on
this forum, but I have to disagree with you that the voice of experience
is missing. I happen to think, for example, that your experience in
repairing viewers and making prize-winning slides for your camera club is
just as important as someone else's experience in collecting Viewmaster
slides from the 50's or some else's experience in creating dazzling 3D
graphics on the computer. The point is, we can't all do it all, and
neither can those folks whose voices are missing. What could they teach
us that hasn't already been taught here?
I know, I know, I have thrown you a question which you will surely answer
with great vigor! :) But aren't you glad you didn't leave this forum??
Me too! Erlys in Mill Valley
