As much as I believe that the day will come that digital imaging will
surpass 35mm film, I don't think the above is quite true but rather more
hype. I think the Digital Light is referring to the recently invented
light valves T.I. developed. These are basically micro mirrors that
are able to change position and reflect the light shining on it so that
it either reflects light to the viewer or not. Thus being effectively on
or off. T.I. is either licensing or collaborating with Sony and others
to make projection television sets. I think it will go after the commercial
market first then trickle down to the consumer level. There are some T.I.
P3D members that might be able to elaborate on it. It sounds very promising
and should make for better anaglyph 3d videos. ;-)
