Lighten Up!

The recent scandal here on P3D brought up different reactions. Alot of
members thought that the hoax perpetuated was the funniest thing in the
year and others thought it was a fraud in crimminal proportions. I think
whoever did this deserves to view 3D with $3 viewers all his or her life.
And watch anaglyph movies on a NTSC system without adjusting the set to 
top it off! In the real world this might or might not have been treated
as a libel case. It all depends on the circumstances. The mastermind
behind this hoax went to elaborate lengths not to harm the said person
from financial harm. In the hoax the last thing it mentions is that Dr.T
will still service Red button viewers. My personal opinion is that this
group is one of the most civilized bunch on the internet and would never
do anything to jeopardize it. As in real life, ones conduct is dictated
by ones own values and the person you are interacting with. This hoax 
would not have been taken very well by some members on the list as in
real life. In real life you know who you can kiddd around with and with
who you can't. Dr.T was very gentlemanly as was commented, others wouldn't
have been. This is very true. 
Now back to this group. Alot of people mention that they look to this group
for the great knowledge that one can aquire here in P3D. Again this is
true but one has to realize that this is what makes this group great.
We have all walks of life represented here and they come to this place
for different reasons. Alot of us here are not interested in all topics
discussed or of different peoples demeanor. Of course all of us have to 
abide by the same code of civility but we don't approach P3D for the 
same reasons. Some come to learn. Others come to convert. I come to learn
and have a pleasent experience with people that share the same interests.
Be it chatting, kiddding, sharing knowledge and experience. I am kind
of surprised sometimes when I see some members that love 3d act so
serious. We have enough seriousnous in our lives and 3D should be one of
the last places to be serious. For me 3d is fun. Pure and simple. That is
the magic of it. Ever wonder why the Imagetech Lenticular camera is called
3DMagic or the mirror 3D viewer is called the View-Magic. Seeing 3D in 2D
pics is magic, which is fun. It's funny that 3D purports to capture reality
when in a sense it is also used to escape reality. Ever heard of Virtual
Reality? Well that's another aspect of 3D. We use 3D to capture reality of
loved ones and places we have been. But we also use it to go to places we
never have or never will.

You haven't seen nothing yet till you've seen it in 3D!
