cardboard mounting

Paul Ivester says:
"... the mounting must be accurate. I use a fixture that I built which ...
allows moving the slide from side to side... Magnifier lenses above the
slide allow viewing the slide in stereo while adjusting the window. I then
tack the film chips in place and then heat seal the mount."

Paul,
You appear to have devoted considerable thought to a high-performance
mounting setup. One of my top goals is to improve my mounting desk, to make
the process faster and more comfortable. I really enjoy mounting stereo
slides, but I get aches if I do more than one roll in a sitting. Also I like
to have enough energy left for coherent labelling and sorting.

So I'm curious:
Could you elaborate on your home-made fixture? Clips? Tracks?
Also what do you use to tack down the film chips? I have tried a Seal
tacking iron (too big) and a pen-sized soldering iron (too hot).
I have resisted Wesstabs because I am loathe to add any adhesive near the film.
Also what about your magnifier lenses? How are they mounted? Are they fixed
or on a flexible arm? Or headgear?
And what about final sealing? Do you use one of those Seary irons?

Many thanks if you can share more info about your method.
