I was asked off listserv what I liked about RBT mounts. The answer:

You can make instant adjustments in the stereo window by sliding the chips
in the mounting rails. You can make vertical adjustments up and down,
independently in each chip, in .1mm increments. If you decide the image is
not good, you can easily recycle the mount by popping it apart with
fingernails, taking out the old chips, and sticking in the new ones. Once
you get the hang of it, and if you have good freeview capability, you can
skip using a gauge entirely, unless you are trying to mount "backwards"
from the infinity point. As you freeview while sliding the chips on the
rails, after you get horizontal alignment, you can dynamically watch the
placement of the stereo window, then close up the mount with the image
locked in place. Also, since the mount halves are white on one side and
black on the other, you have a choice of mounting white toward the
projector lamp for projection, or black towards the eyepiece for a viewer
(there are mounting rails in each side, top and bottom). 'Bout all I can
think of at the moment. --Elliott
