The maker of Frostee Tees says...

>>Jon, you have your hands in every mounting material ever made... All you
need is some of those old Brumberger STEEL mounts ("steel, the way things
should be"). I have a box with 15 mounts. Special price for you: $1 plus $10
for
shipping!!!!!!!!!!! ;) ;) ;) George Themelis

Doc Tee....I'll take them....what a deal....!!!

A long, long time ago....what were the little elves at the Brumberger factory
thinking of when they designed those award winning mounts....they must have
been listening to heavy metal music to get the heavy metal design in place!!!
The thing I love about those old Brumberger metal mounts is when you find
them with that nasty white powdery kind of stuff that you see on aluminum
window screens, probably because the mounts sat in a moist environment
....man those are )(*^&(*&^
bad mounts.....yet I have a really fabulous set of about 40 Brumberger
mounted 50's lamps that were professionally shot....on really cool
backrounds...really googie, atomic age styles.
Funniest thing about these lamp shots...is that they are sales promos for a
lighting manufacturer to show to retailers....and in every picture...the
lighting "on" the lamps is cool...but what a howl....the lamps are all off
and unlit, unplugged....go figure!!!

Gotta get them out of those mount sometime though...

Time to go shoot a roll of film on non functional appliances....I'll do it
with my lens shades on...!!!
Jon
