Re: Antique glass negs
I also have once bought some glass negatives. There's a problem with
them you may not be aware of: the images are upside down as with any
negatives.
This is how I got stereo positives:
I bought a B&W roll film (6 cm, ISO 64), grabed my flashlight and went
into the bathroom. There I spread the negatives on the roll film (in the
dark) and fired the flashlight. After having gotten the film developed
I cut it and mounted the pics in the right fashion (turned upside down
separately). Result were rather fuzzy pictures of someones kids.
One of the slides has the camera reflected in a mirror :), and I think
it was a heidoscope. Glass was machine cut.
