But a) I usually find it takes 3 days to mail between Austin and California,
so it would be real hard to beat a one week turn around time; and b) there
might be a price difference that would make the time difference worthwhile
The Kodalux list price for stereo processing of 36 exp length film is
$12.08, plus $0.55 postage to send the film; the grocery store where I take
mine discounts Kodalux processing, so I've only been paying $7.79. (Note that
they have two prices based on whether the film is the length of a 24 exp
roll, or a 36 exp roll; there is not a per-unit component to the cost as
there is in processing prints.)
The cost for mailing direct to Kodalux in Dallas can be reduced by buying
a discounted PK36 mailer and sending the $4.20 (36 exp roll) add-on for
stereo processing. Note that Dallas is the only Kodalux location that
does stereo mounting.
