Great night in Detroit!

Left the snow in Cleveland to drive to Detroit last night (no snow there!)
and had a great night. Just as I was ready to give up Detroit, I am back
in the ball game. "Festivals" was just not inspiring for me. After the
"Nostalgia" disaster last month I decided to play it relaxed for the rest
of the year. So I made no effort to go to festivals. Checked my
collection and found a couple of images that fit the category.

Well, I did great with the only first place and one of the few second
places. Before I left for Detroit I checked the numbers and figured that
thanks to a great opening competition, I was still in second place. After
last night I might be at the top.

Festivals was a hard subject for most people. I personally had to cheat
since my first place picture of a clown decoration in one of the hotels in
Las Vegas had absolutely nothing to do with festivals. I don't feel bad
though. If you can have an award-winning computer generated "Nostalgia"
why not a Las-Vegas festival? (No computer festivals last night, Bill did
not make it to the meeting.)

Other exciting news: Fellow Cleveland club co-founder and traveling
companion Jim Motley had a great image placed second. John Vala thought
this should have been number one for the night! The Cleveland chapter of
the Detroit club is doing great this year!

George Themelis, back in Cleveland and YES, it is snowing today too !!!
