Thanks Bob for responding to my questions to matching the focal length of
two stereo lenses by shimming the front element. But there's still someone
out there who hasn't spoken up: Who posted the original message saying you
can correct this by shimming?

Come on... confess!!!

I want to know exactly the procedure. Let me give an example this time.

I have one lens that is 45mm in focal length and one that is 47mm. How do I
make them match? Do I change the 45 to 47, or vice virsa? How do I do it?
How do I know how far to shim it? I'd even accept formulas on this one.

I'm not giving up on this, I'll find out who ( perhaps Ed Romney? )has done
it and drive them crazy!!!!!
