I recall a discussion noting that the Reel-3D storage pages for Realist
slides are *not* archival. In a recent search of the P3D archives, I
found that someone once pointed out that some products marketed with
the description "archival" do not actually meet archival standards.
So, I've been meaning to ask: Does anyone know if the Print File brand
of "Archival Preservers" (various sizes of slide and negative storage
pages) are acceptable for archival storage? Also, B&H ads list archival
storage pages, but don't mention a brand name. Anyone know about these?
Subject to confirmation of the archival status of the Print File pages,
you might want to try what I have been doing: buy standard 2x2 slide
storage pages, which are designed to hold 20 slides (5 rows of 4 across).
The four compartments are formed by three "seams" between the margins of
the page. Carefully split all the left seams and the all the right seams,
leaving the middle seam intact. You now have 10 pefectly sized Realist
format compartments on your page!
