RE; Tim really wants an instruction book as his takeup spool doesn't
want to pull out? The later ones had a pop-up knob that is easier to
grip. And it should pull out of the camera IF IT HAS ANY KIND OF A
KNURLED KNOB as you look at it. IF NOT, it may be a camera that has
had a later furnished quick load kit added and is not intended to be pulled out
of the camera. These have sort of slits along the shaft that end of
film slides into as you push it down.
Of course you must trim all modern film to reach full
width 22 perfs from end and not the 8-9 perfs to full width
as it is now sold. The loading diagram on the
base plate shows how you hold film cart and spool and push both down
at the same time. If quick load you push film end down into spool
area. (without a spool). The quickload and later baseplates have a
guide arm on the base plate that sticks into camera as it is put on
to help channel film. BobH
