Re: Expo3D
Expo 3D has come and gone from my home. Almost felt like handing
one of my children over when it went. It is a terrific sampling
of the various formats which is not to be missed, and soon should
be repeated. BTW, this was stop number 20 out of 41 on the list
so it is now halfway round.
What sticks in the mind? The toad, the turtle lady, the airplane
shots, many gorgeous scenics, medium format, and some of the
self-portraits - gee, can't imagine why Dr. T looks so... Greek!
Speaking of whom, there is something different about the T's work.
After viewing a number of slides I felt my eyes actually relaxing
while looking at his pairs, so maybe there is something to all that
'care in mounting' rot after all :-)
I realized that the anaglyphs suffered overmuch from viewing through
the provided red-blue glasses. With no green information both
the pics and the real world look yellow or something. So I
made up a pair of red-bluegreen glasses and stuck those in.
If you get a chance put them on and look around the room/outside/
whatever, they should be more realistic.
The only down side was a comment from my wife, "They're not red?".
Uh, yes dear. Those are just _my_ pics :-(
