We have carried out extensive tests with both spraying and producing 
aluminised stereo screens and find that you can get away with a 
temporary sparying of hardboard with the right silver car respray or 
Dulux Silversheen.  We know that the latter paint is available in 
Australia,  and assume that it can be purchased elsewhere.

Of course,  you're stuck with a solid non-flexible screen if you do use 
this method (and if you get the right paint) but it does work.

We,  at The Widescreen Centre, went through hell before we actually 
found good quality silver material to makre up into screens that are 
portable!
