Yup. Kodak is continuing the long-standing tradition that includes the
likes of the Instamatic cartridge, the Disc camera, and the 110 cartridge.
In every case, photographic quality was sacrificed for consumer-oriented
features like ease of loading/unloading etc. APS has a few more bells
and whistles, but it is essentially a dead-end.
By the way, on the digital front, Polaroid is bucking the trend with a
digital camera that does 1600x1200 resolution (unlike most of the consumer-
grade cameras which are 640x480).
