I removed the front assembly from my TDC 716 as per your instructions.
The rods the assembly travel on where loose.  I remove the 2 nuts 
above the rods and tightned the allen screws. Both lens rotated 
so I tightened one. Problem solved. My "Dr T visits Greece" slide
program is now much crisper altought is still need a few slides to
fill out the program.
