Actually, Brian waws a member of the Stereoscopic Society for several
years in the early eighties. He told me once of how he had found a
Verascope F40 for about L300 in a Paris Flea Market...

He used to be very interested in the Crystal Palace Exhibition -
collected the stereocards etc. I once heard him interviewed on the
radio, soon after the catastrophic fire at Alexandra Palace in North
London. A slip of the tongue confused this disaster with the one that
destroyed the Crystal Palace...

I bump into him occasionally, when he is looking for stereo cameras in
the second hand shops of London...
