Why paint? I upgraded my Stereolist hand viewer to QH bulb and also
wanted to make the reflector behind the slide more reflective. My initial
thought was some sort of matt silver or white paint. Then, how do you get
it in there? The solution was very easy. I cut a piece of high quality
photocopy paper or inkjet paper and slipped that into the viewer. It is
perfectly matt, absolutely white and can be replaced in 5 minutes. It
does not bleed colours and if cut to shape carefully, does not need any
adhesive. If you have some nasty stains underneath the paper, try two
layers...works for me!
