Where is Spiratone?

To Erlys and anyone else who remembers Spiratone

I found the phone number for the company that now has the Spiratone
name

I got their catalog. It did have something I wanted, but it
was a disappointing shadow of its former self. It was no longer
in New York, and no longer had heat-seal mounts for everything
I could imagine (no more Realist format mounts), nor cheap
filters and filter adapters. Seemed to have nice studio
lights, which, however I never use.

I find it disturbing to find businesses that I used often just
a short time ago (say ten or fifteen years), have suddenly 
vanished.
