Just get back on the list after a year or so's absence, and here you 
are talking about me behind my back. No, wait, you're in front.
Anyway, hand me a straight line and I'll step up to the mike.

Waite Group, who published my book, got bought last year by their 
worst enemy, Prentice Hall et al. They dropped everything that 
wasn't related to the Web, including a certain book on creating 
stereograms that actually wasn't selling too badly. It's finally worked its 
way down to the remainders racks and can now be had for $4.95.
At least I got the rights to the book back without having to make a fuss.

I think the Dutch and Italian versions are still alive out there,
having been farmed out to other publishers. 

Anyway, it's nice to be back. I had a job for a year and it took all 
my time. Be a long while before I let someone talk into that again.
