The primary limitation of the rotating screen, swept volume displays
is the lack of opacity: all pixels are visible from all angles.  No
matter how low or high the resolution/refresh, all abjects are transparent.
This is not a practical display for television/entertainment, but more
special needs displays (such as air traffic control) where the transparency
feature is a benefit.
