Mike....could the world be too small, was the woman from Chicago, who had my
gallery announcement on her refrigerator, either Marsha Solot....or Jan
Burandt? If not, who was it?

That exhibit was called "Explorations of the Third Dimension", a juried,
installed exhibit that had been installed other places before. It consisted
of 66 of my choice 3-D images in backlit viewboxes, back and front lit
lenticulars, 3-D movie posters, Magic Eye works by Ron Labbe, views by Paul
Wing, Ed Shaw and many others, and other items related to the history of 30-D
dating back to the mid 1800's.

At the opening....I did my 1993 NSA presentation titled
Stereo Metamorphoses, which I still pull out of the closet now and then for
people....in fact I had a dinner party with Jan Burandt ( formerly from
Chicago a club member here ) the other noight....she did the cooking (she is
a fabulous cook) and i did the after dinner show.....here is what Stereo
Metamorhoses is written up as, it will be sent to Larry Moor after then New
Year....for, I believe, the Atlanta Stereo Club's winter meeting.

   STEREO METAMORPHOSES
Hang on to your vertigo and witness this three-dimensional dissolving
evolution of images. Each image here is chosen purposefully to interact with
its adjacent counterparts, thus pleasantly disarming the viewer's perception.
Stereo Metamorphoses is presented on a 3-D Dissolver Projection System,
images flow smoothly into each other, creating beautiful and sometimes
bizarre interactions with each other. Clear, crisp, colorful 3-D is of first
priority here, and there is something of interest for everybody ....animals
you can pet, buildings you can hang out of, psuedo-stereo experiments,
time-lapse an-imations and light drawing. Narration, sound-effects and music
for Stereo Metamorphoses were recorded digitally, in stereo, for both your
ear's pleasure as well. So hang on to your vertigo and witness Stereo
Metamorphoses....it's the next best thing to being there!

Anyway....thats all for now Mike...thanks for your curious interest...Jon
