I am using an old Minolta strobe flash (I forget the model number) that I
have had around for some years. You could use just about any electronic
flash, though.
I mounted the flash and camera on a home made flash bar. I found a hot shoe
with a pig tail at a camera store and I attached it to the bar. The Kodak
has a PC connector for flash so I obtained an adaptor (PC to modern type)
from someone on this list. The bar was fashioned from the 1.5" x 1.5"
aluminum angle that is so handy.
I couldn't find the infromation on the flash unit as to guide numbers and
what not so I just shot a few experimental frames. For the unit I have f8
seems to give good results in the 8 to 12 ft range for ASA 100 film. Shutter
speed is not important. I generally leave my shutter set to 1/100 most of
the time.
Good luck.
