Stuff
I want to take this opportunity to wish everyoine on the net a very
merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! I, like many others, really
enjoy reading the various offerings of this group and, even if there
are topics I really could care less about, I read them and try to
digest them as I may be very interested in that topic in the future.
Let's be realistic, how many times have you thought you could care
less about something only to have it a major topic in your life in a
few months or years???
I also want to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone who
Emailed, wrote or called me and who I never got back to. As I might
have said earlier, I took a fall from my roof to the asphalt drive,
about 12-14 feet. Luckily, I landed on my left butt (very purple),
my left arm (very purple) and right head (32 stitches)---in that
order, although I remember nothing of the fall. My 11-year old
daught heard the crash and came out to find me on the driveway and
told me I was bleeding. I said no and she asked what the red stuff
was in the drive. I said I guess I was and laid back down. I have
no remembrance of that either. She did call a friend whose Dad is a
doctor and he came over before the paramedics got there and figured
I was not too bad. But I did get a night in the hospital for
observation. I also spent a week at home but had to get back for the
finish of the semester and finals. Since I also managed to break
the floating ribs on one side, I have not been too active in anything.
Needless to say, the last few weeks have been a "blur". To the
person at the American Museum of Natural History, I do have the
Realist manual and am getting the slide mounting book next month.
Thanks for your offer. For the people who responded about my getting
a Leica, thanks very much. I did get a book from Pacific Rim about
the IIIC. That and the phone call from Boston have got me going on
that front. Last Wednesday, I did join the Chicago Stereo Club. I
was going to do that in November but never made that meeting. I
don't klnow where Dr. T would put me. I do shoot perhaps 30 or more
rolls a year but not all stereo. I have only managed about one roll
of stereo a month but am getting ready to get the Nikon N90S in the
picture so output should increase on that waterfront.
Thanks all for everything. I hope you and yours have excellent
holidays. I am looking forward to the new year and new fronts to get
into.
Sorry this has been so long but there were things I wanted to say to
the group.
Have a Happy!!!!
