3d books

Hi: I scored such a great find that I wanted to pass it on to others. I
bought a book lot at an auction for $4 that contained 2 GREAT books:
"Amazing 3-D" by Hal Morgan & Dan Symmes (1982, Little, Brown & Co) and
"An Outstanding Collection of 3-Dimensional Drawings & STEREO-VIEWS" by
Arthur Chandler & Wayne Pope (Troubador Press,1978).

Sorry if many of you already know of these but I bet there are many also
who do not so....

"StereoViews" is an oversized book featuring all sorts of anaglyph pics &
illustrations--a cute coffee table book for a collection.

But "3-D" is a most excellent book!! 175 pages, includes anaglyph glasses
& hundreds of pics throughout the book of everything from old stereoviews
to hollywood 3d film scenes, comics, vm/tru-vue shots, Lloyd, ike,
Hollywood stereo club, etc. This is a wonderfully comprehensive history
of 3d--in all forms! The chapters are as follows: (1) Dawn of the third
dimension:How 3d started & how it works (2) Reels to Realists: Stereo
Photography comes of Age (3) Hollywood Takes the plunge: The Movies go 3-d
(4) Superman Breaks loose: Comic Books Join the charge (5) The Big Sleep:
3-D Since 1955 (6) Chronology of 3-D Motion Pics & Chronology of 3-D Comic
Books. It also mentions several of you or your services I've seen here in
P3D...

I would imagine that these are out-of-print but as evidenced here...may be
found in those flea market, auctions or antique stores!!
