nanotubes in 3D


I came across an interesting electron stereomicrograph at:

http://science-mag.aaas.org/science/scripts/display/full/273/5283/1836/F2.htm

It shows carbon nanotubes growing out perpendicularly from a substrate of
MgO. This illustrates one of the applications of stereo imagery to
scientific research and reporting.
