Yes good question. I pondered that same engima. I have several 
theories, that might help answer it.
 
1)  Hey it was X-mas and Santa can do anything.
2)  Maybe it wasn't Santa but Satan that gave it to me, knowing
    full well I would use it to expose good ole Santa Claus.
3)  Or it could have been my better half, but I asked her and
    she claimed having no knowledge of said camera or chronology of
    events.
4)  Maybe it was all a 3Dream.
5)  Santa got help from UPS.
6)  I was in another dimension. Sort of like the twilight zone, or
    the 3D zone.
7)  Who says Santa has to make sense. Did he ever?
8)  Somebody framed me. (was it you!?)
9)  One of those mysteries of life, better left unexplained.
10) Maybe I was kiDDDing. Of course this is highly unlikely, since
    I have the proof on film, oops I mean magnetic me3dia. And now
    also on the internet.

In any case after the said incident, Santa was very upset with me and
he took away the said 3Digital camera. I guess know I will have to wait
10 years for them to officially come out. :-(
