Happy New Year!
Thanks to a variable voltage regulator and a home made silver
cardboard screen, I was able to get my SVE (society for visual education)
projector up and running over the holidays. I worked great! I am trying
to put some pictures up on my website and will try to get one of this
projector too. Stay tuned!
I also found someinteresting information about early 3D attempts
before WWII. According to a book I was reading on Land and Polaroid,
POlaroid set up a 3-D projector in the early 1940s and made sveral movies
and lots of slides before abandoning the project in when the war broke
out. Still, he did pursue the vectagraph for training navy gunners.
Now, this corresponds with my limited information on the SVE projector
in that it was also used to train gunners to indentify enemy planes
during the war.
I know that this is different from the usual techincal
information presented here, but if anybody can add anything please let me
know!
