why? oh why?
Here, I am so bored, I am replying to my own messages now! ;)
>Why? I'll tell you why... I still have a Realist don't I? I have the

To summarize, I traded 9 pairs from every 36 exp. roll for the ability to
see more and get wider images.
Here are some more whys:
If I want I can now use a 5p mount and improve composition and placement of
the stereo window by shifting the chips around (before, things were so
tight, in many cases I did not have an option.) This is especially true for
close-ups. I have taken a few succesful Realist close-ups in my life. Now
I can mount these in 5p mounts instead of 4. Plus eliminate the annoying
Realist frame overlapping and, as John said to me, the new gears and
rachets are virtually indestructable and the camera is now a better camera
than before!
Here are some reasons why you would not want to do it:
1. Cost.
2. Cannot use commercial (Kodak) mounting.
3. Don't care about 7p enough to justify the loss of film.
4. Cannot use your beloved slip-in or heat-seal 5p cardboard mounts.
The choice is up to you, but it is good to know that now there is a
choice!!!
