Jeremy Hinton inquired:
>Is there anyone in reach of Chateau D'Oex, Switzerland,

>I should be able to arrange 'priviledged access'

Privileged access? Wow, that sounds intriguing. I wish I could
be there.
I haven't noticed any responses to this on list. Is it too late? I
heard this event mentioned on the news shortly *before* the question
was posted, but I have no idea what the date was. It *seems* like
the radio would only bring it up very close to the big day, but...??
If it is not too late:
a) Sorry to be so weak in my geography, but where is Chateau D'Oex?
It is not on the Switzerland map I looked at on the web.
b) In searching my local hard disk, I noticed two things:
1) There is a stereo club listed in Switzerland:
Schweizerische Gesellschaft fur Stereoskopie
Nicholas Engler
Postfach 2319
CH-3001 Bern
+41 (91) 515-381
(September 1994)
Don't know if it is still current.
2) On 4 Nov '96, Charles Hotchkiss mentioned that a gues from
Switzerland attended the first meeting of the Rabbit Hash, Ky
stereo club. Perhaps Charles might know whether this person
could be of assistance.
c) If all else fails, I have a (shareware) software customer in
Switzerland. The odds of her owning a stereo camera are miniscule,
I'm sure. But if there is time for someone to get a loaner to her,
or as a really desperate move instruct her in single camera stereo
techniques, I could try to pass on the request to her. I'd have
to check my database, but I seem to recall she is in Zurich. Is
that close at all? I presently have only snail-mail contact info.
d) If this is a commercial venture expenses are reimbursable, I'll
gladly go snap some pics!
Good luck in your quest!
Paul Talbot, who would really love to visit Switzerland!
