Slide bars and Pixar closure

Paul Baker's "slide mat" is a great idea! I will use it for
some projects, right now I've got an urge to take outdoor
shots of flowers (ahh, the joys of living in Berkeley
California- flowers in January, and all the other months
of the year). Lucky me, I picked up a crude but useable
slide bar (for $5) at Tuesday's meeting of the Oakland
Camera Club.

At that meeting we projected the slide of
Toy Story characters that was included with the
3-D pictures taken at Pixar's holiday party. Annie Lore
(the 3-D Fairy) was in attendance. She finished mounting
and delivered the remaining slides to Pixar a while ago,
so Pixar paid her, so she paid Jim, Barrie and myself.
Great, more pocket cash for 3-D toys!

I'm glad that I insisted on getting one of the computer
generated slides of Woody and Boo-peep. However, it didn't
project well. The folks at Pixar don't seem to know much
about stereo projection. They didn't center the image in
the window resulting in a lot of background color that did
not overlap. I think that my computer generated image was
better, it took first place honors in the Group B
competition that night :-) :-) :-).
