I should add that if you are doing an exposure test with your SLR
and have the slides commercially processed and mounted, be sure to
use a lab that numbers your slides! Some local labs here do not
number mounted slides. You will be able to put the slides back
in order, but it is certainly an extra hassle!
If you are doing an exposure test with your Realist or other stereo
camera, your task will be complicated a bit more. This would be
a great use for a Dukes projection previewer (IHNA, etc.), but of
course would not help you evaluate your exposure preferences with
the hand-held viewer of your choice! So be *extremely* careful
once you start cutting all those 9 or 11 consecutive pairs of
images of the same scene!
Well, now I've learned another trick from my mentor: responding to
