My 7P Realist - Part IIA

Folks, I know many of you are getting tired hearing about my 7P Realist.
Yes, there is much more to stereoscopic imaging to be covered in photo-3d
than a Realist or a Belplasca, but this issue is very important for many
active stereo photographers today. Perhaps you don't realize this now...
We are writing history here. One day you might say, "Yes, I was there...
I witnessed DrT's review of the Realist 7P, first hand!". ;)

So, please, if you have no interest in Realists or Belplascas, if you have
a Belplasca and don't like to hear about a Realist being in the same
league, if you have a Realist but don't have a 2.8 or the money or the
interest to convert it to 7p, please bear with me or ignore me. Don't
get upset! One day you might change your mind (as I frequently do ;)).

I hope it is crystal clear that I am not here to sell anything. All I care
about is the truth and the beauty of 3d. I want to know if a 7p Realist is
a joke or reality. I want to know if a 7p post-operated Realist can stand
in front of the queen of 7p stereo cameras, the Belplasca with the
legendary supersharp Carl Zeiss Jena lenses. That's ALL!!!

Last night I was nervous. I examined my operated Realist. I saw some
components (focusing shafts etc.) being in the way, exposed by the wider
apertures and was afraid they might block the light. I did not know if
I would be able to shift the chips in the 7p mount to control the window.
>From my experience in converting viewers to 7p I am aware of complications
when you modify something to do a job that was not originally designed to
do. I was very nervous, despite John Slivon's reassurances.

I felt much better today when I got back the rolls and examined one
picture (see earlier posting), but the BIG test for me was waiting at home.
Finishing mounting and examining the pictures from both cameras in my
red button viewer

With this small ;) introduction please advance to my next posting for
the test results and conclusions!

To be continued...
