I am sure the opticians on this list can give more feedback on this, but
you raise a good point. I remember a simple test by bringing your hand
in front of you and closing one eye then the other. If it seemed to 
jump left to right or right to left or something to that effect, that
would be your dominant eye. Sorry this is very sketchy but don't remember
the exact details.

Another way that I found was that the dominant eye can be discerned is by
using anaglyph glasses. This I discovered rather by accident. I have a
right dominate eye, so when I wear anaglyph glasses with the red properly
on the left eye, and blue on the right everything has a blue tinge. If I
reverse the glasses and put them the non-standard way everything takes on
a red tint. Thus in this case whatever tint is being percieved is dictated
by the color filter which would be the the dominate eye. 

Now if this has any effect on stereo perception, in my case I have a right 
dominant eye and of course don't have any problems perceiving depth. But
this doesn't mean there is not a degree corresponding to domination of the
left or right eye. I think it would be slight in any case.
