Mike-
George already summed up the possibilities for the Realist. Here are
some others:
Kodak Series 5
VM Personal Series 5
Revere Series 4
These are all built in, unless the retaining rings have been lost over
the years, in which case you can use standard series 4 or 5 retaining
rings. Look for the "Series" filters in junkier or used camera stores,
they often have a box of them to sort through, and they are often a
dollar each. Camera shows are another place to look, although usually
somewhat higher. (The place where they told you a screw was missing in
you cable release socket is NOT a good place to look-obviously if it's
not a point and shoot, they don't know anything about it.) I have
successfully used straight as well as tapered cable releases-either
should work if you can screw them into the hole!
The best I can tell, the TDC cameras and the VM Mark II don't have any
standard way of using filters, although the TDC VIVID does have screw
threads between series 5 and 6, if you can find an adapter to fit.
If you have no luck anywhere else, you can always get this stuff from
Dalia.
