There are or were some mail readers that would break up a digest and display
it as if the entries were separate pieces of mail, then one goes through them
as individual postings just as one does in ACK mode (which I use and prefer)
by just looking at the from's and the subject's.

I haven't used such a mail program since back in the days of the original
photo-3D group (*long* time ago....).  Nor do I know if the photo-3d digest
format is standard enough (if there is a "standard") so that such a critter 
would still work.

If anyone is using such a critter now (for photo-3D), it may be worthwhile 
to tell the others on the list about it (and where to get it), or maybe to put
it in the list's FAQ perhaps instead.  It's not really 3D, but it is
photo-3d administration related.

Just a thought...

P.S. - I use Sun's "mailtool" on my work workstation, even when I'm at home
       (like I am now).  Kinda dumb program, but easy to use.
