Copyright violations

Last night I posted in "sell-3d" that I am selling copies of Chapter 2 of
the Stereo Realist Manual book ("Operating The Stereo Realist") in the form
of a small booklet with an added small section of my simplified
instructions for using the camera.  I consider this more detailed and
useful (especially with the modern addition) than the operating manual and
of possible use to Realist owners who don't have the book.

A "concerned citizen" contacted me regarding possible violation of
copyright laws.  Common sense has always been my guide in these issues. 
The book has been out of print for decades.  If you take out $1 for
shipping, we are left with $4/copy for a possible sale of 10 copies (that's
how many I made) which barely covers my copying costs and effort (at
minimum wage) to put this information together.  If there is anyone
financially hurt by my actions, they can go ahead and sue me for the $10
I'll make.

I know that this has been discussed a few times here, but I am still
surprised to see someone question the photocopying of a small part of an
old book dealing only with how to use a stereo camera of great importance
to stereo photographers today, when nothing like that is available new and
for sale today.  I think we should all be happy that people (not just me)
make this, hard to find information, available to us today.
