laminator & teflon

The laminator that I got from the office supply outlet did
come with an envelope to place items in for lamination. This
only added to the thickness problem and at one point actually
jammed in the mechanism. The unit also cost ~$60 as compared
to the ~$14 for the unit from the toy aisle.

I don't know what material the envelope was constructed
from. I would be interested to obtain a teflon unit which
was mentioned in the response to my original post. And
yes I have been running the slide through sans sheath.
The unit with adjustable heat control certainly sounds
like a deluxe model, yet I was going for economy.
