The SGS range of liquid crystal modulators from Tektronix were
licensed to a company called NuVision (also in Beaverton).
Their products are indeed very neat.  I don't think the Tektronix
division which developed these products exists anymore.

For those not familiar with these products, they are a liquid crystal
panel which fits to the face of the display monitor.  The panel can
be switched between two polarisation states - clockwise polarising
and anti-clockwise.  When used with a field-sequential display,
left images are clockwise polarised and right images are clockwise
polarised.  The observer(s) wear special polarising glasses (completely
passive) to see the 3D image.

NuVision has a web page BUT on it they only discuss their
LC shutter glasses systems for PCs.  It does have their address.
