Re:Nimstec and Widescreen

This is for informational purposes (this doesn't belong on sell-3d does it?)

For those of us who need a place to have Nishika, or Nimslo prints made,
the only places I know of are Nimstec in the US and Widescreen Centre in
the UK.

If you want more info, do a search with the word Nimstec, or
Widescreen;Centre at the photo-3d search engine:

http://bobcat.etsu.edu/ftpdir/photo/photo-3d/digests/ghindex.html

The addresses for the Widescreen Centre is:

   The Witre
   48, Dorset St.
   London W1H 3FH
   U.K.
   +44 0171 935 2580
   FAX: +44 0171 486 1272

   another address:
   18 Lady Bay Road
   West Bridgford
   Nottingham NG2 5BJ
   U.K.
   0115 945 5459
   FAX: 0115 945 5362

They do lenticular prints from negatives taken with three or four lens
cameras and sell other products. The latest prices (in pounds) I have are:
36 exposures = 18.90 +1.75 P&P = 20.65, so that is 24 print = 86p each)
I think their print size is larger than Nimstecs?

they are in the the Archives. And I'm sure Tony Shapps would answer direct
inquiries if you mailto:call@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or check out their web page
at http://www.wscreen.demon.co.uk .

As for Nimstec:

I called Nimstec yesterday, at (770) 497-0727 and evidently they just
recently started doing (four lens - Nimslo or Nishika) lenticular
processing for the general public within the last year, or so. They had
been doing it only for professional applications.

Their Address is:
Nimstec North America, Inc.
4850 River Green Parkway
Duluth, Georgia 30136

They are doing all the old Nishika processing, and are therefore
backlogged badly. It can take up to three weeks to get your 3 1/2 by
4 1/2 inch prints back. However, it says, on their film processing order
form that they process and ship within 7 business days if paid for by
credit card, 17 business days if paid for by check.

Thir pricing for 3 1/2 by 4 1/2 inch prints is 82 cents per print plus
$2.60 S&H per roll within the US, or $5.50 outside the US. So, for example,
a 36 exp roll would total $17.36 for 18 prints, in the US. ($20.26 outside)

Call them, they will mail or fax you 10 pages of informaton.

They do custom lenticular transparencies, or prints, up to 27 by 36 inches
for Nimslo or Nishika. They will also do prints using eight half frames
(twinned Nimslos, or a Nimslo on a slide bar? I don't know).

As i said, I haven't tried 'em yet, but theres the information anyway.

PS:
By the way Nimstec is probably owned or affiliated with one of the two
guys that invented the Nimslo, and I don't mean Mr. Lo.:)
