SVE Model SA Stereo Projector

Although the response to my queries about my odd collectible projector
and my 40 boxes of 1940 color slides has not proven very popular, I
consider it my duty to keep this list informed of my doings.

Thanks to a great silver screen sold to me by Grant Campos, I am finally
seeing my slides as they should be. There are some nice ones of the
Grand Canyon, Boulder Dam, Bryce Canyon, Yosemite, Crater Lake, and the
1940 world's fair.

I am also making limited headway in my historical search. Through our
interlibrary loan department, I was able to borrow copies of old trade
publications that advertised my projector. The 1941 edition of the
magazine, VISUAL REVIEW, shows an ad for the projector and and short
piece that reads:

"The very latest development of the 2" x 2" slide, which offers
unusual early future promise, is stereoscopic projection, using one
scence photographed from two slightly different angles. The superimposed
projection of the two slides is viewed through Polaroid lenses, giving
the very real impression of depth or third dimension, either black and
white or in natural color. The potential applications of this new
development in industry, science, surgery, and classroom teaching are far
too great to estimate."

My investigations into the owner of the projector and collection has not
been as productive. All of the images are labelled with the name, "Clyde
A. McCoy, Attorney at law, Ft. Wayne, Indiana." Thus far, all I have
found is a 1940 phone book listing and a 1934 enrollment in the Indiana
bar Association. Oh yeah, one of the inventories lists a picture titled
"CAM on the trail" which suggests to me that he (or someone with him)
took the photo and that these images are not stock slides.

Anyone with interests in this project or suggestions please let me know.
