Re: Choosing ortho or hyper

Re: Michael Kersenbrock says we can't vote for a mixture of hyper and
ortho shots due to constraints of the Dual-SLRs stereo technique. I
don't think it is too much to ask that Wrebbit invest $50 in a slide
bar for shots of stationary subjects such as some of the landscapes
on the two cassettes I have seen. Mt. Rushmore and Yosemite on GA-I
both look like they were composed with no moving objects, and in viewing
those I felt that some of the grandeur of the scenes was lost, possibly
due to the shrinking effect. My opinion only. But if we must choose, I
would vote for ortho because of the realism (even though I am not of the
school that says all stereophotography has to have maximum realism.)
As Gabriel previously mentioned, an ortho shot of the Grand Canyon is
only flat for the distant objects. When I say I would vote for all
ortho over all hyper if forced to choose, I do not mean that I would
vote for poorly composed ortho shots of only distant objects!
