Nimslo Problem

(I apologize if this is a repeat, but I don't believe it went through the
first time I sent it)
Well, after finally finding the base plate to my Nimslo, and fixing the
short, I ran 
a roll of film through it. Everything worked fine, but when I went to pull
the roll out I noticed some sticky black gunk on the cartridge. Turns out the
foam light seal on the back is totally deteriorating.  Anyone else ever seen
this on a Nimslo?
I've had this problem with the foam in old camera cases, but the Nimslo isn't
that old.  Any ideas for how to repair it? Can I get foam gasket material to
cut to fit?
