Well, if you remember the thread that started all this, Gabriel was
commenting on some books.  I was under the (possibly mistaken) impression
that they were published fairly recently (I happen to own the "views of
earth" book, which was published within the last two years or so).  If
so, then 1980's-vintage emulsions wouldn't really be relevant.  I didn't
think Kodak recently made an Ektachrome 64, but I'd forgotten about the
"Pro" emulsions, since I've never had any cause to use them, being
perfectly happy with the 50 and 100 speed consumer Ektachrome.

I *know* that emulsions have been evolving over time... Kodachrome
used to be available in only ONE speed: ASA 10, and a "tungsten" and
a "daylight" balanced version, as well as a special "stereo" version
(which included pre-paid mounting in Realist mounts).  I believe it
was an antitrust lawsuit that put an end to the bundled-in processing
cost.  The tungsten-balanced Kodachrome is no longer made, and of course
the slowest Kodachrome is ASA 25...
