Medium Format 3d

Wow. Look what I've started. I'm new to Photo-3d and my qestions about
MF 3-d were my first posting. My head is swimming with the response. Now
I have to figure out what I can afford and what I can do and what I
want--which is my natural state.

Let me put some more questions out there for you experts:

When shooting with my Realist, I find that close-up portraiture (which I
find marvelous in 3d) seems to have too much depth. It seems that when
I'm 3-4 feet away from my subject, the nose comes out too much and the
depth is exaggerated. So now I'm thinking about shooting close up
portraits in MF and I wonder if the lens spacing should be a bit shorter
than my eyes. Also, in 2-d, backing off and shooting with a longish
lense is more flattering. Would this be true in 3d? What would this do
to the lens spacing? Would I have to view with longer lenses? It seems
like the perfect 3d camera would have adjustable interocular
spacing--but that sounds like a mechanical nightmare. So maybe two
cameras is the way to go--but can you ever get them close enough?

Another question: I have just begun projecting my Realist slides with a
TDC 716. I'm getting exaggerated depth. What's wrong?

Also: have any of you tried Agfa's SCALIA B&W slide film? It's
beautiful.

At last. A group I can talk to. Thanks.

Michael.
