You know, the proof is in the pictures, but that does not prove anything!
I have seen some great pictures taken with Realist 3.5 cameras, even Kodak
cameras!!! See Tim Maffia's pictures in Expo2. Unbelieveably sharp!!!
My 2.8 Realist is a fuzzball at 2.8 or even f4 and f5.6.
One thing I see in the 2.8 vs. 3.5 is a totall lack of vignetting. Now,
having the Realist modified for 7p this lack of vignetting is a blessing.
I do not care much about claims and rumors that this lens is better than
that because exactly the proof is in the pictures which also depend on the
film used, use of tripod or not, how good focusing is, etc.
