I Need Realist help

Talked to a guy today who has a 'mint' 3.5 Realist for sale.  $125.  He's 
not a stereographer and has never used the camera but is 'pretty sure it 
works.'   I'm driving over to see the camera Sunday.  I've never owned -- 
or touched -- a Realist.

Question:  is it possible to fiddle with a Realist 3.5 and tell if it's 
in working order?  
     What specific tests should I run?  
      Is it adequate to run a roll of film through and find out the 
camera works with that one roll?
     What kind of problems can I fix myself?
     I'd like to bone up before the visit:  are there copies of Realist 
3.5 instrucion books on the web?


He's also got a 'Kodak viewer.'      Any suggestions there?
