Effect of Airport X-ray

        I have a retired friend who used to work in the design of these
airport x-rays and who is also a large-format photographer.  On our first
trip together I noticed that he had put all of his film boxes into several
clear plastic bags and had them hand checked.  I don't think this story
needs any more explanation.
