|As I understand it, the X-Rays are not harmful to
|the film. According to what I've been told, it's
|the electrical and magnetic fields from the X-Ray
|machines that do the damage. At any rate, having
|the film in clear containers, and having them
|hand checked, is the best thing to do.

I'd be quite surprised if this were actually the case, unless the
EM field were stong enough to cause static discharge inside the 
film canister/camera...(which would probably zorch anything 
electronic that would go thru at the same time...)
